It's one mere month for the PVE content and here's the shitstorm in full force, honestly over react more.
I'm anticipating this update as I'm one of probably many who don't salivate over zkeys and grab as many accounts as I can, my storage and mules are packed and pvp only chars are here today gone tomorrow for me.I'm looking forward to this update and I'm probably not the only one.

Nope, also been looking forward to this one. Too much junk to store is too much.

You don't need to go that far tbh
a nerf to [Cry of Pain] or [RoJ] would reduce farming/SC considerably (kill AoE dmg from CoP and reduce dmg from RoJ and job done as sliversin is now kind of slow due to dmg reduction whilst in SF even with Ural's + EBSoH)

Skill updates make people return for much, much longer, and usually take less work than changing game's code to make storage better.

Which is exactly what they don't want, so they can close down more servers.

They don't ruin the game like Ursan did. There are still a group of people who actually have fun and ENJOY using those skills and they don't ruin the game whatsoever. This is PvE, let us enjoy the toys!
Besides, a disc-plordsion discord team is waaay more overpowered, I can tell you that!

Glad that I'm not the only one who dislikes Anet's announcements.
Balance is more important than some extra storage. It's been 4 months since they announced the extra storage... It's not like the gaming experience gets less when you have to wait another 2 weeks. With PvP balance that's different. I don't know how they do it but they keep failing time after time.

Bleh ,as a PvE'r i like the skill updates , gives me a chance to try something different and keeps the game interesting especially if its a total skill redesign like [incendiary arrows].
It's also, to me , more important to regularly skill balance to keep pvp fresh and stop it being concentrated on a few core OP builds.
I'm pretty disappointed that something important like game balancing has been shitcanned while we still get eye candy like mini gwens and chochoRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing bunnies...

Congratulations on your 40th and I hope you get something good :-))
There are surprising number of us "oldies" playing GW :-) I turn 46 this year LOL!
Thanks to to Regina for the update. I agree that the big update should be the priority and I really hope we get somehting good to breath a bit of fresh life into the game.

The fact that time was spent on a particularly unfunny and rather irritating April Fool's 'Joke', and yet no time can be spent fixing perhaps 9 or 10 obviously OP skills, is, to be frank, an outrage. What's more, through these forums, through the balance forums, and through countless other media, the PvP community are telling the skill balancers exactly what to change. I am also lead to believe that a list of skill balances have already been drawn up, and yet 1 month has to be set aside in order for these skill balances to be put into effect. Surely it would be possible for these to be implicated in no more than a few days, and, it would undoubtably be possible for them to be implemented before the April mAT. It is unbelievable, therefore, that even a small number of skill balances could not be added to the game given a day or two's 'work'. Why the update has to be on this Thursday, and not next Monday, or even next Thursday, if there is some special significance to that day, is beyond me. It is not as if updates have not been delayed before.
I am also sure that there will be more than one element in the upcoming 'mega update' that will be completely useless and pointless, and ignored by nearly all of the pve, and pvp, community, that would have taken more coding time than a minor, or even perhaps major, skill balance. It is also, for want of a better word, irritating, that the sector of the community; the pvp side, is the most vocal, and most 'helpful' section of the community, and yet it has been completely ignored.
So, thanks for ignoring a major part of the Guild Wars community, I eagerly await this 'major update'.

I can accept no PvP balance, yeah, sure, fine, ArenaNet says it's difficult.
But how hard could it have been to just give Spawning Power a quick rework, or alter spirits a bit? No worries about it being overpowered - Perma Sins, MSDB Sins, SY/TNtF Paras, Dslash Warriors, etc, all make it irrelevant.
I'd have liked to see, say, Spirits become mobile, get three per skill, longer duration, say a few minutes or indefinite (or drastically reduced cast time and recharge), 60 AL, and 500-600 health. That would have been immensely fun.

Well target me out for sure, cause you must be the all knowing all seeing wizard of mmo production and programming.
In my opinion they should go to pvxwiki and purposely break every build on there and then sit back and listen to you fanbois complain some more.
Edit i mis-quoted, the skills are already broken and that's why people use them, so i say break them even more and give me my skill I want
"Emit Boon" 15e, 30rec. For 20 seconds your enchantments last 100% longer and cannot be removed.
Lol. Now lets here some QQ

Thank you to anet
I wonder what it feels like for the developers to hear all this critisism, not just for this game but for most games. Being adults I'm sure they realise there is a silent majority that do enjoy the game (and hence play it..) but the minority of people who give negative feedback make the majority of the noise. I wouldn't mind betting that some of the developers currently working on GW2 are doing some voluntary overtime on GW1 for this update and I hope they know that there are many of us that are grateful for this.
Personally I'm looking forward to this update and I'll be grateful for whatever we are given (though of course I hope for many exciting things). It costs the company lots of money to create new stuff, even if it might seem quite simple to people not familiar with software development. Also the cost of running the servers is no doubt fairly substantial. Many software companies (*cough* EA *cough*) have a "ship and it's done" philosophy. Without a monthly fee it is unreasonable to make constant demands. Obviously it is important to Anet to retain players and get some new ones, mainly for future sales of GW2 I imagine, so it's not entirely a gift that they do more work on GW1, but it is quite like a gift.
Some people complain because, for example, they don't need more storage "so why the *** is anet doing this?!?!?!?! How dare they!!!!" What about the people that do want such things? We've all paid for this game and different people want different things out of it. The people that can't accept that some other people might be getting a benefit when it is something they personally don't like/don't need and make a big fuss do come across as quite childish.
And finally just a quick message to people saying stuff like "horrible game", "totally unbalanced", "boring", etc - why not play the better game you prefer? I mean if it's a case of a couple of changes you'd like made then for sure give constructive critisim, but when it gets down to the level of vitriolic insults it comes across as you don't actually like the game - so don't play it! If you do like the game then why are you pretending you don't like it? Either way you don't sound very logical, just childish.

Some of us would be happy to pay a monthly fee if we got regular content additions, good skill balance, and seven-hero parties.

No it isn't. I bought the game. According to ANet's philosophy that should be enough.

Well, look at it this way. If they require more testing, the update must be big, and ANet must want it to be good, were everyone is happy (ofc, not everyone will be happy). But if it something big, maybe SF/CoP downgrading (not a nerf, just making it not the best to use) it.
Tbh, I play the game with minimal use of CoP and Shadowform, so a nerf to it wouldnt matter to me. And really, it would make the game a little bit better imo, bringing back some of the oldschool Physway etc... That would be an awesome update.
